INSJ Rare Personality Type

I have taken the personality test several times and always gotten INSJ. So what does this mean? I am altruistic, passionate, a perfectionist and creative with less than 1% of the world like me.  I always need a cause.

INFJs indeed share a unique combination of traits: though soft-spoken, they have very strong opinions and will fight tirelessly for an idea they believe in.

Well, with that all said, we dont give away our ideals and causes so readily. We’re quite private. But here, I will give away some:

  • Advocate for black pets- Ever since finding out how people treated my cat, Stoner, and didn’t want to adopt him or even be around him due to being black, I have decided to be an advocate for black pets. They are the first to be put down in the US and are considered taboo animals.
  • Against use of plastic surgery beyond medical need– I used to be an esthetician and it seems that the profession is leaning towards becoming more plastic with injections and going under the knife. I am more into skin care for naturalism and being proud of what you have. I like helping people be healthy. I don’t want to profit on people who feel the need to be perfect and might be mentaly ill.

The Role of Art

What is the purpose of art in society?

A person once said that art is pointless to me. Art is meant to inspire, to savor and to embrace what makes us human.

Japanese cartoon, Pokemon. Everybody loves Pikachu, right?

In society it can bring people closer or even distance people. Look at subcultures such as the otakus that love anime and anything Japanese. They love certain forms of art and formed thier own group around it. Yet, it can make people distant from others if they cannot relate.

It can be used to persuade others. Take for instance the art of Banksy. He has created graffiti art to comment on everyday life and persuade the viewer to think differently about war, for instance.

It can have negative affects on people as well as good. Magazines show women to be a certain weight and this adds pressure to society to be a particular weight. This can cause psychological problems with perception of the self aka bulima or anorexia. . . . .

The purpose of art in society could literally be a book. Hell, it probably is one. These are just some things I came up with. What do you think? What is the purpose of art in society? Is it pointless?
